Tumpat, Kelantan

I went back to my home town, it was a short trip, a day trip to be exact.

I visited Tumpat, Kelantan.

A short description on Tumpat, Kelantan.

Tumpat is a town and a district in Kelantan, Malaysia. Tumpat is situated at the end of the East Coast Line train operated by KTM (Keretapi Tanah Melayu) which links Kelantan to the western part of Peninsular Malaysia. This strategic location makes it the transportation hub of Kelantan.

Tumpat district is one of the smallest districts in Kelantan which an area of only 169.5 square kilometers. Many Siamese Malaysian live in this area.

I was in Tumpat to savour the wonderful delicious local Siamese delicacies.

After having something to eat I stopped by Pengkalan Kubor. Pengkalan Kubor is one of the Sub District in Tumpat

Sweet, Sour, Spicy, Salty, Rojak Buah, Kelantanese style

After the Rojak Buah, felt really thirsty so stopped to have Air Kelapa, Coconut Water

While waiting for the Coconut Water, had some Pulut Durian and Pulut Manga. Something the Siamese have as dessert

Here comes the Coconut Water

Berbuka Puasa with my close friends at Sri Ayutthaya, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur

Had a wonderful buka puasa with my close friends at Sri Ayutthaya. Sri Ayutthaya a Thai Restaurant. The whole course cost us RM80.00 ++ per pax.

Fresh Watermelon Juice

 Buah Kurma and Jagung Jelly

Tom Yam Seafood

Kerabu Longan Thai Style – this is my all time favourite among the other dishes.

Deep Fried Fish Ubon Style.
The fish was fried too long, this made the flesh to be really hard.

Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab with Peanut & Lime Sauce

Deep Fried Chicken Fillet with Young Mango

Fried Beef with Kaffir Lime Leaf
All my friends found the dish really spicy. I would say it was slightly spicy.

Fried Asparagus with Garlic

Thai Dessert
The dessert was really refreshing and delicious, but I was too full to finish it.

After the Thai Dessert we had complimentary fresh cut fruits by the manager.

All time favourite fruits, Mango, Honey Dew and Watermelon
